This tour will make you discover Marrakech, called The Pearl of the South, and adventure in 4 x 4 through the beautiful landscapes of the Great Moroccan South with its high mountain peaks, green valleys dotted with Berber villages, palm groves, Kasbahs to then reach and immerse in the immensity of the superb Chegaga dunes.

After breakfast, you will be first taken on a tour of the Menara Gardens to appreciate the Saadian pavilion with its roof in the shape of a green pyramid, the Marrakech ramparts which then formed a wall to protect the city, a guided tour of the Koutoubia and its outstanding minaret that culminates at 77 meters, the 19th century Bahia Palace nicknamed the little Alhambra, revealing the love of a grand vizier, the Mellah district, the tinsmiths’ square, then the medina of Marrakech, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which souks is full of bewitching scents and bright colors, the Secret Garden, one of the oldest riads in Marrakech (400 years old) and the mythical Djema el Fna square, the liveliest spot in Marrakech and the social heart of the medina with its charmers of snakes, acrobats, musicians, storytellers and water carriers. The square has a very special atmosphere that makes it one of the most famous places in the world, leading you to soak in the ambiance, the colors and the scents of spices

Breakfast and departure for Zagora via Ouarzazate crossing Tizi n'Tichka through magnificent panoramas, located at 2260m of altitude. Lunch and visit of Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, presented as a set of clay buildings surrounded by walls, a type of traditional pre-Saharan habitat. Some of these houses appear to be small castles with tall towers decorated with mud brick patterns. The oldest constructions date from the 12th century. Continue to Dades along the road of the ‘thousand Kasbahs’ via Skoura, and then continue between road and track to a beautiful valley in the heart of the valley of roses and Dades, where you will come across small authentic villages. Breakfast and departure for Dades, foray into the valley through an amazing road of about 25km round trip, you will discover surprising rocky shapes and an exceptional variation of colors within this natural landscape, then continue towards Tinghir for a walk in the alluring gorges of Toudra, high limestone cliffs surrounded by wadi Toudra, you will feel tiny at their feet as their walls can reach 300m in height! Depart for Alnif for lunch then head to Zagora, the desert’s door, located just a few kilometers far from the first Saharan dunes. The faded “Timbuktu 52 days” sign crossed in the heart of Zagora, marks the ancient vocation of the city and the last stage of the caravan route.

After breakfast, head trough an old caravan trail that links the Drâa to Timbuktu, crossing a good part of the Hamada du Drâa, a stone desert before the Sahara, between oasis and Atlas. Continue to the dunes of erg Lihoudi, where you will have lunch surrounded by nature. Following a sandy path, you will get to large dunes of erg Chegaga, the biggest ones in Morocco. At the end of the afternoon, you will get installed in your luxurious bivouac, then meet the guides for a camel ride through the dunes to admire a stunning sunset. Once you are back, you will be treated to a dinner and a typical lively evening in the mystical atmosphere of the desert, a magical and memorable moment!

After contemplating an outstanding sunrise, you will have breakfast, and then depart for erg Chegaga and the dry bed of Drâa. Continue through part of the old Paris-Dakar rally track to Lake Iriqui, now dry, where clay alludes to mirages, then by the Foum Zguid track towards Taznakht, then head to the beautiful and impressive region of Taliouine, known for its saffron crops. Stop at a saffron cooperative, then continue to Taroudant and stop at an argan oil cooperative. Continue exploring the land of argan, particularly loved by goats! They climb trees, eat young shoots and fruit. Heads towards Agadir, along the plain of Sousse.
